Required Materials:

Gr 2 air and water in the environment: Milkweed or dandelion seed fluff, if possible, Poster board, Glass of water, Watercolour paint,  Precipitation collection method, Outdoor thermometer, Kettle, Plate, Water, Drawing materials

Gr 2 growth and changes in animals: Drawing materials, Assorted clothing, if possible, for adaptation,  Pictures of different animals (or access to internet)

Gr 2 properties of liquids and solids: Hand towels, Large bucket for each group, Water, Ice cubes, if possible, Outdoor sand box / pit, Containers of water, Objects that float, Objects that sink, Sand, Salt, Vegetable oil

Gr 2 simple machines and movement: Examples of each simple machine - inclined plane, lever, wedge, wheel and axle, screw, pulley, Ruler and marble for each learner, Scrap paper, Carrot or celery for each learner, Paperboard (cereal box cardboard), Skewers or wooden stir sticks, Tape, String, Containers with screw lids, Bolts and nuts, Screws with screwdrivers, Pulleys , Found materials, such as from recycling bin, toilet paper rolls, containers, bags
